Eighth Annual Women in Business Conference Set to “Push the Limits” March 9

Conference founder, producer, and host Sandra Tisiot has a full slate of impressive speakers ready to make this year’s Women in Business Conference a practical and enlightening day for women looking to set and meet significant goals.

Now in its eighth year, the conference delivers engaging speakers who will help attendees push beyond their own personal limits and achieve success.

Supporting Ottawa’s Suits Me Charity

The growing-in-popularity conference, which broke attendance records last year and has seen a 250% increase in attendance over the past two years, now gives even more to charity. A portion of proceeds from the conference goes to Suits Me, which helps Ottawa women in need of professional clothing to make that all-important good first impression.

Affiliated with the Eastern Ontario Women in Finance, an organization that advances its members interests year-round, the 2016 Women in Business conference has valuable insights at the core of its mandate.

The Importance of Connecting

For event founder Sandra Tisiot, there is no better connection than face-to-face, eye-to-eye contact. This one-day event is about connecting on all levels: with the speakers, with those at your table, with others in the room, and – most importantly – with yourself.

As the conference mandate expresses: “We want you to connect and share, and to strengthen the facets of your life that keep you in balance: career, social, financial, community, and health and wellness.”

To maintain that balance, every year the conference aims to showcase individuals who challenge and inspire, and motivate us all to make meaningful changes in our lives. “Each year, something a little different,” says conference founder Sandra Tisiot.

A Great Program With Great Speakers

This year, the conference features seven accomplished speakers including host Sandra Tisiot, who will keep the event pace moving along briskly and smoothly.

The fast-moving full-day conference starts with registration at 8, welcome at 9, lunch at 12:15 and a final speaker at 3 p.m. As well, the conference this year will present what is called the WIBC 10. This year’s speaker, strength and conditioning coach Mia St. Aubin is highlighted in this new short and sweet 10-minute segment.
