WIBC2018 ft. Susan Stewart

you shine the brightest when you lighten up

On a mission to help people see the lighter side of life, Susan Stewart
delivers a unique combination of comedy and inspiration that reveals how
we can take life too seriously and how to meet adversity with a positive
outlook, and of course, a sense of humour.

Professionally speaking, Susan has taken a winding road. After earning
a Theatre Arts degree from the University of Waterloo, Susan moved
to Toronto and began performing stand-up comedy and toured a
one-woman show to various Fringe Theatre festivals around Canada.
Five years into her comedy career, fear and self-doubt manifested into
depression and anxiety which led Susan to quit doing comedy and
uncertain if she would ever perform on stage again.

After quitting stand-up comedy, Susan landed a Human Resources
position with the Ontario Government (a very long story and feel free to
laugh) where she was asked to write and present a comical presentation
about wellness at a staff professional development conference. Susan’s
presentation was a smash-hit and as they say, the rest is history. Susan
eventually left her office life to return to the stage full-time.

For the past 10 years, she has been touring around North America using
her comedic powers for good, rather than evil.

Join us at the Women In Business Conference to have a laugh and learn how to meet life with a positive outlook, a resilient spirit, and of course, a sense of humour!
